Angel in the Aftermath behind the scenes video
I think we all have a greater appreciation for things when we see how they are made or done. One of my favorite TV shows is “How It’s Made”. Sometimes the simplest daily items I take for granted are the ones that impress me the most. With this video I wanted to show how much of the image was real and how much was created in post processing. I came from a design background, so when I started shooting for myself I had the mentality that I would just add, fix or correct photos after. As time went on I really wanted to take care of all those things during the shoot just to help me become a better photographer. A perk in doing this was less work in post production!
As you can see this was the perfect setting for such a beautiful sight inside of so much destruction. We were lucky enough this location wasn’t taped off although it really should have been. Walking over unstable material with rusted nails all over was very dangerous.
Special thanks for Melvin at M11 Films for editing our lo budget video into something that looks pretty awesome.
With that in mind, please enjoy these videos.
This first one is the actual shoot. The second video is a quick pass of one of the images in Photoshop.
